Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Systems Analyst to bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions. The ideal candidate will work closely with stakeholders, product owners, and developers to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and design system enhancements that improve operational efficiency and support strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business and technical requirements.
- Analyze and evaluate current business systems and processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Translate business needs into clear, actionable system specifications for development teams.
- Assist in solution design, process modeling, and workflow documentation.
- Act as a liaison between business users and IT teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and training efforts.
- Create and maintain documentation including functional specifications, process flows, and user guides.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and contribute to project planning and delivery.
Required Skills:
- 3+ years of experience in business systems analysis or a similar role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficient in creating process documentation and functional specifications.
- Experience with requirements gathering, use case development, and user stories.
- Familiarity with software development life cycles (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Strong working knowledge of tools like JIRA, Confluence, Visio, or Lucidchart.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in a specific domain (e.g., finance, healthcare, logistics, etc.).
- Familiarity with SQL and data analysis.
- Knowledge of ERP or CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, SAP, Oracle).
- Business analysis certifications (CBAP, CCBA, etc.).
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst (depending on role level).
- Master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
